With WooCommerce Paid Listings and WooCommerce Subscriptions, you can set up grouped products to allow users to switch between multiple subscriptions. This effectively allows users to upgrade or downgrade between different tiers of subscriptions.
Below is an example of allowing upgrades/downgrades between two Job Subscription packages: one ‘cheap’ subscription and one ‘expensive’ subscription with a featured listing option.
Setting up Grouped Products
- Create two new products, one ‘cheaper subscription’ and one ‘expensive subscription’, each with “Job Package Subscription” as the product type.
- Enter prices and other product details. For the ‘expensive sub’, enable the option to feature listings. Publish these Job Package subscriptions.
- Create a new product with “Grouped Product” as the product type. Under the Linked Products option, add the two job package subscriptions as Grouped products, and publish it.
- Once a user goes and subscribes to the ‘cheap sub’, and then visits their account, they’ll see a button ‘Upgrade or Downgrade’. Once clicked, they’ll be redirected to the grouped product.
